This study is checking if the medicine dexlansoprazole can heal and keep healing a condition called erosive esophagitis (EE) in kids aged 2 to 11. EE happens when acid from the stomach hurts the tube (esophagus) that carries food from the mouth to the stomach. This study involves taking a capsule every day for up to 10 months. After finishing the main part of the study, there will be a follow-up phase lasting up to 3 months. Families will keep track of symptoms in a diary and may need to come back to the clinic each month during follow-up.
- The study lasts up to 10 months with multiple clinic visits.
- Participants will take medication daily and record symptoms.
- Eligibility includes ages 2-11 with a history of GERD symptoms.
