Phase N/A

This study looks at helping people manage pain after orthopedic surgery for sports injuries, like torn ligaments or muscle tears. **Life Care Specialists**, who are experts in pain management, will guide patients. They teach techniques like mindfulness (paying attention to thoughts and feelings calmly) and organize care to help patients use less **opioids** (strong pain medicine that can be addictive). The trial will see if working with these specialists in person or through video calls is better than just following written instructions. This will help patients recover better and possibly need fewer pain medicines. The study lasts 3 months and involves 4 visits to check progress.

  • Participants: 150 people with sports injuries, aged 15-45, having surgery.
  • Study Duration: 3 months with 4 visits.
  • Compensation: Not mentioned.

The study aims to improve pain management, reduce opioid use, and enhance recovery with personalized pain coaching.
