This study aims to test a new way to treat severe burns using a product called NovoSorb® BTM, which stands for Biodegradable Temporizing Matrix. Participants’ burn wounds will be treated with either the NovoSorb® BTM or the usual treatment their hospital uses. The study wants to see how safe and effective NovoSorb® BTM is compared to the standard care.

Key Points:

  • Duration: You must be available for the entire study period.
  • Eligibility: Adults aged 18-75 with serious burns who can follow all study steps.
  • Risks: Some conditions, like allergy to polyurethane, or pregnancy, may prevent participation.

To join, you need to agree in writing and follow all study directions. If you have burns covering between 3% and 60% of your body, you may qualify. The study is looking for people who are planning certain surgeries related to their burn treatment. If you have other serious health problems or are taking part in another study, you might not be able to join. Participants will not use the product on the face or perineum areas. Before joining, make sure you can attend all visits and follow instructions.
