Early Weaning From Incubator To Crib study aims to find out if infants can move from an incubator to a crib sooner, at a weight of 1600 grams, without harm. An incubator is a special bed that keeps a baby warm. The study will check if this change can reduce the time babies stay in the hospital and still help them grow well. The researchers will look at how long babies stay in the hospital and how fast they grow after this early move.
Eligibility: Babies must weigh less than 1600 grams at birth to join. Babies with certain health issues like slow heart rates, need for special lights (phototherapy), needing a lot of help to breathe, or having big birth defects, cannot join.
- The study checks if early crib move is as safe as staying longer in an incubator.
- Participants might leave the hospital sooner.
- No extra treatments or medications are involved.
