Plaque psoriasis is a skin disease that causes red, scaly patches. This study is testing a new treatment called SCD-044 to see if it helps people with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. The study is double-blind, which means neither the participants nor the researchers know who receives the real treatment or a placebo (a fake treatment) to ensure fairness. Participants are randomly assigned to either group.
To join, you must be at least 18 years old and have had plaque psoriasis for 6 months or more. You cannot have other forms of psoriasis or need treatments like creams or light therapy during the trial. Also, you can't have had or shown symptoms of tuberculosis (TB) or have uveitis (an eye condition).
- The study takes place at multiple locations.
- Participants will not know if they get the real treatment or placebo.
- It's important to meet specific health criteria to join.
Participating in this study could help find better treatments for plaque psoriasis, but make sure you understand the process and requirements before deciding.
