This study is about checking how safe and good a new surgery robot called the da Vinci SP Surgical System works compared to the regular way of doing a special breast surgery called a Nipple Sparing Mastectomy (NSM). In this surgery, the nipple is saved while removing parts of the breast to treat early-stage breast cancer. The study is for women 21 years or older, with a BMI under 30, and who have early-stage breast cancer. Women with larger breast sizes or more droopy breasts, a history of breast surgery, or who smoke cannot join. The study is done in several hospitals and splits participants into two groups: one will have surgery using the robot, and the other will have the regular surgery. Doctors will compare the two to see which is better and safer.
- This study requires you to be at least 21 and have early-stage breast cancer.
- You should not have had any breast surgery before or any major health issues like clotting problems.
- There will be multiple hospital visits, and you'll be randomly assigned to one of the two surgery types.
