This study is looking at a new medicine called R2R01 to see if it’s safe and works well for people with worsening heart failure (WHF). It compares R2R01 with standard care (SOC) to just standard care alone. Heart failure is when the heart can't pump blood properly. This study is "double-blind," meaning neither patients nor doctors know who gets the actual medicine or a placebo (a fake treatment). It involves taking the medicine through a shot under the skin (SC injection) for 7 days and lasts up to 51 days.
- Participating involves up to 51 days with 3 days in a clinic for observation.
- You'll need to give yourself a daily shot for 7 days.
- It is conducted in about 8 centers in the US.
To join, you must be 18 or older with heart failure symptoms and have been in the hospital for heart failure in the past year. You can't join if you have very high blood pressure, severe kidney problems, or certain other health conditions. This study helps scientists understand if R2R01 can help people with WHF feel better.
