Phase 4

This study is looking at the safety and effects of a COVID-19 vaccine called COMIRNATY in people younger than 21 years old. The main goal is to see if the vaccine has any connection to heart problems like myocarditis (swelling of the heart muscle) or pericarditis (swelling of the lining around the heart). The study will compare people who have these heart problems after getting the vaccine with those who have them due to COVID-19. Participants will be in the study for up to 5 years and will have heart check-ups and follow-up visits. To join, you must have symptoms within 7 days of getting the vaccine, be evaluated at a hospital, and meet certain health criteria.

  • Participation is for up to 5 years with regular heart check-ups.
  • You must be under 21 years old and have heart symptoms soon after vaccination.
  • Your health will be compared to those with heart issues from COVID-19.
