This study is testing a medicine called **scp776** to see if it can protect the brain during a specific type of stroke called **Acute Ischemic Stroke (AIS)**. AIS happens when a blood clot stops blood flow to the brain. The study is **randomized** (participants are randomly chosen to receive either the medicine or a placebo—something that looks like the medicine but has no active ingredients), **placebo-controlled** (comparing scp776 to a placebo), and **double-blind** (neither doctors nor participants know who gets the medicine or placebo).
The study is in two parts. In Part A, different doses of scp776 will be tested. Participants will receive either scp776 or a placebo after a stroke treatment called **Endovascular Thrombectomy**. Part B will use the best dose from Part A. Participants must be 18 or older, weigh less than 150 kg, and have had a stroke within 24 hours. Women must not be pregnant, and men should use birth control.
- Duration: The study involves multiple visits over several months.
- Risks: Possible side effects from scp776.
- Compensation: Participants may receive compensation for time and travel.
