This study checks how well the medicine baloxavir marboxil works in kids aged 1 to less than 12 years who have the flu. Baloxavir marboxil is a drug used to treat the flu by stopping the virus from spreading in your body. To join, kids must have a positive flu test and a negative test for a virus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) within 48 hours. They should have flu symptoms for less than 48 hours before the study starts. The study will not accept kids with severe flu needing hospital care or those with weak immune systems due to conditions like cancer or HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). Also, kids who've recently taken certain flu medicines or have allergies to baloxavir marboxil can't participate.
