This study is testing a new medicine called XEN1101 to see if it helps people with a kind of seizure called primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (PGTCS). The study is for people aged 12 and up who already take 1 to 3 anti-seizure medications (ASMs). XEN1101 is given as an extra treatment, and some people will get a "placebo," which is like a fake pill to compare results. The study lasts about 12 weeks, and you have to take the medicine once a day with dinner. If you finish the 12 weeks, you can join another study to keep taking the medicine.
- The study lasts about 12 weeks, with an option to continue longer if you want.
- You need to visit the study center for check-ups and keep a diary of your seizures.
- Participants must have had PGTCS for at least a year and take 1-3 ASMs.
Note: You can't join if you have other types of seizures like focal-onset seizures (FOS) or certain health problems like epilepsy linked to drugs or alcohol.
