The CORCINCH-HF Study is researching a device called the AccuCinch Ventricular Restoration System for patients with heart failure and reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Heart failure is when the heart doesn't pump blood well. Ejection fraction is a measure of how much blood the left ventricle pumps out with each heart beat. Participants will be randomly placed in one of two groups: one will get the device and standard heart failure treatment, and the other will get standard treatment only. Ejection fraction between 20% and 40% is required, and participants must be 18 or older.
- Study Duration: Participants must be prepared for a long-term commitment as multiple follow-ups will be needed.
- Eligibility: Participants should have had heart failure treatment for at least 90 days before joining and be stable on their current medication.
- Risks: There may be risks associated with the device and procedures, so willingness to undergo tests and follow-ups is necessary.
Participants must be able to complete a six-minute walk test and agree to follow up. Certain heart conditions and recent surgeries may disqualify you. Always consult with your doctor to determine if joining the study is right for you.
