Phase 4

Osteoarthritis (OA) and issues with tendons and joints in the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist can be very painful and affect daily life. This study aims to understand how well ketorolac (a pain reliever) and triamcinolone (a steroid) injections work for these problems. Participants will not know which treatment they receive to ensure fair results. The study lasts 24 weeks, with a follow-up visit 6 weeks after the injection. All activities will be conducted at Emory facilities.

  • Participation Duration: 24 weeks with one follow-up visit.
  • Treatment: Either ketorolac or triamcinolone injections.
  • Location: Emory facilities.

Adults 18 or older with specific joint or tendon issues who haven't had surgery on these areas are eligible. Participants should not have had similar injections in the past 6 months, and must not have active infections or allergies to the medications. This study will help us learn more about managing wrist and other joint issues better.
