This study is testing how virtual reality (VR) affects exercise performance in healthy adults. Virtual reality is a special technology that shows a computer-generated world. The study aims to see if VR can improve the results of a maximal aerobic exercise test, which measures how well your heart and lungs work during intense exercise. The main questions are whether VR changes the VO2peak (the best amount of oxygen your body can use) and the ventilatory threshold (the point where breathing becomes hard).
Participants will do the exercise test twice: once in a normal lab setting, and once while watching a VR video. By comparing these tests, researchers want to know if VR makes the exercise seem easier and alters important body responses. This information could help in designing better fitness programs.
- Study Duration: Two exercise tests with a 1-week gap.
- Compensation: Not specified.
- Risks: Exclude those not ready for physical activity or pregnant women.
