Phase N/A
The PARTNER 3 Trial is a study to check if a special heart valve, called the **SAPIEN 3/SAPIEN 3 Ultra transcatheter heart valve (THV)**, is safe and works well for people whose current aortic valve is not working properly. The aortic valve is a part of the heart that helps control blood flow. This study is looking for people who have a failing bioprosthetic valve (a type of artificial valve), and it involves only one group of patients across multiple locations. To join, patients need to have certain types of valve problems, and their heart team must agree that the new valve could help them. However, there are many reasons someone might not be able to join, like having other heart problems or surgeries too recently. **Key Points:** - **Study Length and Visits:** The study requires attending multiple visits to check how well the new valve works. - **Eligibility:** Only people with specific heart valve issues can join, and they must meet several health criteria. - **Risks and Compensation:** Participants should discuss potential risks and benefits with their doctor before joining. This study requires informed consent, meaning patients need to agree and understand what the study involves.
