Phase N/A

This study explores how eating pecans affects heart and overall health. Pecans are packed with healthy nutrients like polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), vitamins, and minerals. These nutrients may help improve heart health and how our body uses energy.

Participants will consume pecans daily for 28 days or stick to their usual diet. They will need to visit the research center three times a week for short check-ups, and twice for longer visits to eat a provided breakfast and have blood tests.

  • The study lasts for 28 days with multiple visits.
  • Participants will need to eat pecans or maintain their normal diet.
  • Eligibility includes adults aged 30 to 75 at risk for heart disease.

This study will help understand if eating fewer pecans than usual can still benefit health, which could lead to better diet guidelines. Participants should be aware of the commitment and whether they fit the health criteria before joining.
