Phase 1

**Study Goal:** This trial is testing a new way to give a medicine called TV-44749 to people with schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a mental illness that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. The study checks how well this medicine works when it's given as a shot under the skin compared to when a similar medicine, oral olanzapine (ZYPREXA®), is taken by mouth. The study also looks at how safe the new medicine is.

**Study Duration:** The trial lasts for about 21 weeks for each participant.

  • Participants will need to take part in multiple visits over 21 weeks.
  • Some people may not be allowed to join if they have certain health problems or are planning to become pregnant.
  • Participants need to continue their current smoking or non-smoking habits during the study.

**Eligibility:** People with schizophrenia who are stable on their current dose of oral olanzapine can join. Participants must meet certain health criteria and agree to use birth control if needed. If interested, contact the study team for more details.
