SELUTION4BTK Trial

This study is testing a new treatment for Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), a condition where arteries in the legs get narrow, causing pain and difficulty walking. It compares the SELUTION SLR™ Drug-Eluting Balloon (DEB) to a regular balloon used in angioplasty, which is a procedure to open blocked arteries. The aim is to see if the new balloon works better without extra risks.

Key Points:

  • The study involves procedures and follow-up visits for about a year.
  • Participants must be 18 or older and have PAD in the legs.
  • Those who join may not have certain health conditions, like severe kidney issues or recent major surgeries.

Eligible participants will undergo a procedure to treat their leg arteries and will be monitored closely. The study hopes to find a safer and more effective way to help people with PAD walk better and reduce leg pain. Participants will help advance medical knowledge and may benefit from improved blood flow in their legs. However, as with any medical study, there are risks, and participants should discuss these with their doctor before deciding to join.
