Bipolar I Disorder (BP-I) is a mental illness with cycles of extreme mood swings, ranging from high energy (mania) to deep sadness (depression). This study looks at how well a medicine called Cariprazine (also known as Vraylar) works for adults with BP-I during a depressive episode. Cariprazine is a treatment option in the USA and Canada for these mood episodes. The study plans to involve about 170 adults who are starting Cariprazine treatment as part of their regular care. Doctors will prescribe the medicine, and patients will take it as they normally would, not just because of the study.
The study is observational, meaning it watches and records what happens without changing anything about how patients are treated. If you join, data will be collected for up to 24 weeks during routine doctor visits.
- Study lasts up to 24 weeks with regular doctor visits.
- Participants must be starting Cariprazine treatment for their depressive episode.
