This study looks at using a device called Impella® during a heart procedure known as PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention). This is for patients with complex coronary artery disease (CAD) and poor left ventricular function (how well the left side of the heart pumps blood). The Impella® device helps the heart pump blood during the procedure. The study wants to see if using Impella® during PCI helps patients have fewer health problems like heart attacks, strokes, or the need for other heart surgeries, compared to not using it.
- The study lasts for 3 years with follow-ups.
- Participants must be between 18 and 90 years old.
- Participants must have specific heart conditions and agree to follow study procedures.
Not everyone can join. If you had a recent heart attack, have severe heart or lung problems, or are on certain medications, you might not qualify. Participants must agree to randomization (being randomly assigned to a group) and provide consent. This study could help improve heart procedures for high-risk patients.
