Phase 2

This study is to test if a new drug, ALKS 2680, helps people with Narcolepsy Type 1 feel less sleepy and have fewer episodes of cataplexy. Narcolepsy Type 1 is a condition where people feel extremely sleepy during the day and have sudden episodes where they lose control of their muscles. The study compares ALKS 2680 to a placebo, which is a fake treatment that looks like the real drug but doesn't have any active medicine in it.

Key Points:

  • Length: Participants must stop current narcolepsy medications for 14 days and during the study.
  • Eligibility: Must be 18-70 years old, meet specific health criteria, and be willing to follow study rules.
  • Risks: People with other serious health issues, pregnant women, or those in another study can't participate.

Participants will be checked for safety and how well the drug works. Only people who fit the study's health requirements and are not pregnant can join. This study helps researchers learn if ALKS 2680 is a good treatment for narcolepsy.
