This study is for people with cancer living in rural areas who want to quit smoking. It compares two ways to help stop smoking: one group receives text messages over 12 weeks, and the other group gets a booklet with tips. The goal is to see which method helps people quit smoking better and improves their quality of life. The study lasts six months, with follow-ups after quitting. To join, you must have been diagnosed with cancer in the last 10 years, live in a rural area, smoke at least 5 cigarettes a day, and have a phone that can receive texts. You should not be using any other stop-smoking aids or be in another program. You also need to be able to read and speak English and be at least 18 years old. Be ready to provide a urine sample for testing.
