Phase N/A

This study looks at the effects of cottonseed oil (CSO) on health, especially for people at risk of heart disease. Cottonseed oil is a type of fat that might help lower bad cholesterol and improve health. Participants will take part in a 28-day program where they will drink special shakes and eat snacks with different amounts of CSO. The study wants to find out if smaller amounts of CSO can be as helpful as larger amounts.

During the study, participants will visit the clinic several times for check-ups and blood tests. The study is testing different groups: CSO LOW, CSO MID, CSO HIGH, and a control group with a mix of oils. The researchers want to see if lower amounts of CSO can still provide the health benefits seen in past studies with higher amounts.

  • Study length: 28 days with multiple clinic visits
  • Participants will consume provided shakes and snacks
  • Frequent blood tests to monitor health effects

The study is for adults aged 25-75 with a risk of heart disease. People with certain health conditions or dietary restrictions cannot participate. If interested, consider the time commitment and dietary requirements.
