Phase N/A

HostDx Sepsis is a study to help doctors figure out infections and possible sepsis quicker. Sepsis is when your body has a big reaction to an infection and can be very serious. This study collects samples from patients with suspected infections like in the lungs, belly, or skin. It looks at gene expression, which is how your body's instructions work when you are sick.

To join, you need to be over 18 and have a suspected infection or sepsis. You should have symptoms like high heart rate, fever, fast breathing, low blood pressure, or confusion. You must not have taken strong infection medicine in the last week unless it was a special case.

  • Study is done in the emergency room.
  • No need for extra visits or treatment.
  • Important for fast diagnosis.

Participants are essential for understanding and improving treatment for infections and sepsis. Always talk to your doctor before joining a study.
