This study is about using two types of exercises, Whole-body Vibration (WBV) and Treadmill Training (TT), to help children with Cerebral Palsy (CP). CP is a condition that affects movement and muscle tone. WBV involves standing on a machine that shakes gently, and TT involves walking on a treadmill. The researchers want to see if doing both exercises together helps children walk better and reduces muscle stiffness, known as spasticity, in their legs. They will work with 20 children aged 6 to 17 who have spastic CP. Each child will do treadmill exercises and WBV, and their walking and muscle stiffness will be checked at different times during the study.
- The study takes place over a few visits.
- The exercises are safe with no known serious risks.
- The goal is to help children walk better and more comfortably.
Children with certain recent injuries or medical issues cannot participate. This study hopes to improve the way we help children with CP move and walk better.
